Easter Reminded Me of the Miracles That Are My Children

Greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Things have been busy. I am still a working mom of three, working full time who is trying to make a difference. I do a lot of things and try to be present so that I can learn from them. I share them on this blog so that we can learn together. Below are some thoughts, hacks, and/or lessons that I have learned from navigating my world. Below is a tale of my road to becoming the mother of three. It was a road filled with joys and disappointments. However, I wouldn't giving nothing for my journey now. Here's to embracing every step of the journey, even the painful ones, and embracing the lessons learned along the way.

A Peek Into the Life of a Working Mom: The UPMC Children's Ball

This weekend we got to have family time. And family time is always good!

Anybody who has kids understands that it is important to keep them stimulated. One way to do that is find out about interesting events going on and attend those that make sense. In the past twelve months we've gone to the circus, to see "Yo Gabba Gabba Get the Sillies Out" and to a Chinese New Year celebration to name a few.

This past weekend, we attended The UPMC Children's Ball at the Carnegie Science Center and it was a night perfect for adults and children. We arrived and walked on a red carpet, which seemed fitting given that we like to say that we're raising our daughter, "Hollywood style" in Pittsburgh.

The Carnegie Science Center is a great place to have a party!

They had great food. There was a carving station with Prime rib and turkey, salad and French fries and chicken fingers. And how many balls can you attend where they have peanut butter and jelly?!

As you can see from the photos below we partied hard. Perhaps we are rock stars after all...

Moving and rocking we're never stopping! (See our little bass player in the corner.)
